This integration allows your list of publications and citation data to be automatically updated on your ExpertGate profile every month. It’s a simple but powerful way to keep your research record visible and accurate—without the need for manual updates.
As part of our ongoing commitment to fostering global collaboration, this feature is designed to showcase your academic contributions more clearly and consistently. By syncing with Google Scholar, your profile becomes a live reflection of your current research activity, helping potential collaborators, partners, and institutions get a complete picture of your expertise.
One great example is Professor Roberto Sabatini, Professor of Aerospace Engineering at Khalifa University. By linking his Google Scholar to his ExpertGate profile, his full list of publications, citation record, and academic contributions are now seamlessly accessible in one place. This makes it easier for peers, collaborators, and institutions to explore his expertise and connect for potential projects.
We know how important visibility is in the academic world—particularly when applying for research funding, forming interdisciplinary teams, or contributing to high-impact projects. That’s why we’ve made it easier for others in the ExpertGate community to discover your work, understand your research trajectory, and reach out for potential collaborations.
Adding your Google Scholar link is simple. Just log in to your ExpertGate profile, head to your settings, and paste in your public Google Scholar URL. Once added, our system will begin syncing your publications and citation counts every month, ensuring your profile always reflects your latest work.
This integration is especially valuable for researchers working across multiple institutions or disciplines. Rather than having to maintain several separate profiles or explain your recent publications during partnership discussions, your full research record will be available on one consolidated platform—your ExpertGate profile.
We believe this will also play an important role in streamlining international collaboration. As we move forward with major initiatives—including leading 20 international research projects aligned with Australia’s 2026 Science and Research Priorities—having up-to-date profiles will make it easier for experts from different countries to assess fit, propose joint work, and build strong, well-informed research teams.
It’s important to note that your Google Scholar data will not be editable manually within ExpertGate, ensuring consistency and integrity across profiles. All updates will happen automatically each month, as long as your Scholar link remains active.
