A Major Step Forward in Our Research Mission
I’m delighted to share some fantastic news with you all—ExpertGate has officially been recognised by the Australian Government as a Medical Research Future Fund (MRFF) Eligible Organisation through the Department of Health and Aged Care.
ExpertGate, established by the Australian Graduate Industry Research School (AGIRS), is an independent, Australian-led global platform committed to advancing research, science, and innovation for the benefit of all. This latest recognition marks a significant milestone in our journey, confirming our eligibility to independently apply for and manage MRFF-funded research projects.
This achievement places ExpertGate among a trusted group of organisations recognised for their capacity to deliver high-quality, high-impact medical and health research. It’s not just an administrative win—it’s a powerful step forward in our mission to support transformative research that addresses real-world health challenges in Australia and beyond.
The MRFF is one of the most prominent funding programs in Australia, designed to support innovative trials, medical discoveries, and research-driven healthcare improvements. Becoming eligible means we now have greater access to this crucial funding stream, enabling us to design, lead, and support medical research projects with direct relevance to communities and policy priorities.
Since day one, ExpertGate has been committed to bridging the gap between academia, industry, and innovation. We’ve built a platform that connects experts, researchers, and institutions across the globe—focused on making research more accessible, collaborative, and impactful. This recognition by the Department of Health and Aged Care reinforces the quality and integrity of the work we do, and reflects the dedication of everyone involved in our platform.
We see this as an opportunity to deepen our engagement with universities, hospitals, research institutions, and community-based organisations across Australia. Whether in areas like mental health, Indigenous health, aged care, preventative medicine, or advanced medical technologies, we are ready to lead and support projects that make a meaningful difference.
This milestone is a shared achievement. To our expert community, partners, advisory board, and supporters—thank you. Your trust, insights, and commitment have made this possible. This recognition is a result of the collective effort we’ve all contributed to building something truly unique at ExpertGate.
Looking ahead, we’re excited to roll out new opportunities for collaboration. We’ll be announcing project calls, training sessions, and partnership pathways designed to support MRFF-funded initiatives. Our goal is simple: to bring the best minds together and deliver research that improves lives.
Let’s continue to break down barriers, drive innovation, and shape the future of research—together.
